Occupational Therapist since 1999, worked with adaptive surfing since 2003. Former Madeira Island Regional representative (2003-2010) and actual coordinator of Health/Social Inclusion Department and Executive Commission Board Member of the Portuguese Environmental NGO SOS – Save Our Surf (SOS Salvem o Surf). Former consultant and coordinator of Course and Innovation Department (2012-2015) of the Portuguese Association of Adaptive Surfind. Since 2015, consultant and coordinator of Adaptive Surfing in the National Surfing Coach Course of the Portuguese Surfing Federation (FPS), and from 2016 national adaptive surfing team coach. Author of several articles in sports injuries prevention in sports magazine; author of several articles/communications, of surfing tourism; adaptive surfing; social inclusion through surfing with children at risk; surfing therapy and disability. Rescue Diver, Assistant Diver and Rehab Diver (DDI – Disabled Divers International), since 2014, and Emergency First Response Instructor (CPR; First Aid; Care for Children; DEA), since 2015.
